Pablo Heras-Casado
Although still only 31 years old, the Spanish-born Pablo Heras-Casado already enjoys a multifaceted conducting career of unusual breadth and variety. Strongly affiliated with the Opéra National de Paris, having previously worked alongside Sylvain Cambreling in projects as diverse as Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra and Berg’s Wozzeck, he recently made his own full debut in Autumn 2008 conducting the world premiere of Marc-Olivier Dupin´s ballet Les enfants du paradis. His successful debut with the Opéra National de Bordeaux, conducting the closing performance of the Robert Carsen production of Le nozze di Figaro, has led to a reinvitation in 2009 for a new production of Offenbach´s La Périchole. Furthermore he has established his credentials at Teatro Real Madrid with Britten’s The Little Sweep and at Bilbao Opera with the Spanish premiere of Respighi’s La bella dormente.

A pesar de su juventud (31 años), el polifacético director español Pablo Heras- Casado cuenta con una muy amplia y variada trayectoria profesional. Asiduo colaborador de la Opéra National de Paris, ha participado en proyectos tan diversos como el "Simon Boccanegra" de Verdi o el "Wozzeck" de Berg, y en otoño de 2008 debutó dirigiendo el estreno mundial del ballet de Marc-Olivier Dupin "Les enfants du paradis". Posteriormente, y debido al aclamado éxito de su debut con la Opéra National de Bordeaux dirigiendo la función de clausura de la producción "Le nozze di Figaro" de Robert Carsen, fue invitado de nuevo en 2009 para una nueva producción de "La Périchole" de Offenbach.
